We have just updated the User Information guide with an extra web service for you to use. It’s called ‘HasMobileNumber’ and this request lets you check if a MSISDN for a user is available in the system and if not, whether there will be one available after processing the payment.
This is a good tool to use if you would like to see how many MSISDN’s are available for on-going relationship building for customers who have purchased content from your mobile site. You can also use this to determine if you would like to ask the user for their MSISDN at the time of the sale versus at a later stage if you are billing for an on-going service.
